Saint-Montis internationally known for its wine. At first, called " Coast of Saint mount ", it became the "Saint Mont" and is to obtain the protected designation of origin (AOC)(In French, Appelation d'Origine Contrôlée).

La cave coopérative vinicole de SAINT-MONTThe cooperative cellar is situated on the street of Bernard Tumapaler, number 101 ( D946) at the south exit of the village. It is an impressive building which did not stop getting bigger over the years and the first cellar was transformed into stand of sale.

In 1979, the adventure began to return the respectability to wines of the southwest: Saint-Mont, Pacherenc, Madiran; Gascony and the association of three cellars. : PLaisance-du-Gers,  AIgnan et Saint-MONT gave birth to the society : PLAIMONT.

The vineyard covers of course the municipality of Saint-Mont but spreads out along the valley of Adour and on the surrounding hillsides. Vineyards are picked the leaves off, got rid of the ballast by some clusters to preserve all the quality in this grape which will be harvested in the hand, and this know-how gives all its authenticity, its quality in this wine so generous.
