The fishing in machines and nets, such as defined by the Permanent Statutory Order concerning the exercise of the fishing in fresh water in the department of the Gers - that is only on Adour and Arros (excepted canals) - is authorized from 1st till 25 January and from June 13th till December 31st included.
The permanent bans
The fishing of the following sorts is forbidden all year long:

|

- Ecrevisse à pattes blanches (Austropotamobius pallipes) |

- Grande alose (Alosa alosa) |

Any marketing, sale and purchase of products stemming from the fishing amateur is strictly forbidden (articles L 436.13 and L 436.14).
During the period of specific ban on the fishing of carnivores (pike, pikeperch, perch and black-bass), is included from February 1st till April 30th, the fishing in the deep, in the dead or artificial fish and the other baits with the exception of the artificial fly, is forbidden in waters classified there 2nd category.
It is forbidden to use as bait or as begin:
- The eggs of natural, fresh fishes or canned food, alone or mixed in a composition of charms, or artificial, in waters of the 1st and 2nd categories.
- Worms or other larvas of dipteres in waters of 1st category.
It is forbidden, for a fisherman amateur, to transport living beings the carps of more than 60 centimeters (article L 436.16 of the Code of the environment).
The fishing in machines and in nets is forbidden in waters of 1st category (article L 436.23 of the Code of the environment).
The introduction of the lobsters others than the lobsters with red paws (Astacus astacus), in paws hail (Astacus leptodactylus), in white paws (Austropotamobius pallipes) and torrents (Austropotamobius torrentium) is strictly forbidden.
Any fishing is forbidden:
- In devices insuring the traffic of fishes in the works built in the bed of streams.
- In pertuis, winnowings and in passages of water inside buildings(ships).

Any fishing is forbidden from dams and locks on a distance of 50 metres downstream to the extremity of these, with the exception of the fishing in a single line, and on a distance of 200 metres downstream for the fishing machines and nets (article R 236.86).
